When painting pet portraits, I generally adopt a much more natural palette. But color still makes my heart sing. I couldn’t help but apply color to my pets as well. I don’t like to play favorites, but at this point, I think the Boston Terrier has won my heart.
I used aqua and green, white and a wonderful fuchsia to create this pup. It wasn’t complete without the dark, deep wonderful black, brown, gray eyes. I think there will be more Warhol style portraits in my future. I am just having too much fun with color options!
